2026 – NYBA SPRING IAIDO SEMINAR

NYBA is holding our annual spring (group practice) iaido seminar. The seminar will be held for one day, Ryushin Shouchi Ryu (RSR) (柳心照智流) and Muso Shinden Ryu (MSR) (夢想神伝流). MSR instruction will be taught by special guest instructor Malcolm ‘Tiki’ Shewan Sensei, and NYBA’s Phillip Ortiz Sensei and Mitchell Ratchik Sensei.

    12:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Lunch Break(1 hr)

    1:30 PM – 5:00 PM MUSO SHINDEN RYU

    6:00 PM – DINNER – TBD (RSVP)

Ki 気: means will, intent and energy (spirit).

Ken 剣: means the sword

Tai 体: This character is read karada when it stands alone, and it means body.

Ichi 一: means “to agree, to conform, to be congruent, to be in concert, to be united, to cooperate, to be in accord”.
